'Moths' is the oldest track on this EP. I began composing this towards the end of my GCSEs (so I was about 16) because I did not think there were enough songs in the key of Eb minor. Originally it had more of an orchestral arrangement. I decided I would rearrange it for this EP, with a string quartet, synths and piano. I like to think it shows how far I have come as a composer and demonstrate my skills in manipulating synthesisers.

This became the most exciting track on the EP for me because I was going to have a live string quartet on it. To have such an extraordinary opportunity at such an early stage in my career is a joy.

Thank you, Izzy and Maddy, for all your comments regarding your specific parts, which helped me improve this track and will help me improve my string writing in the future. Writing for strings using samples is very different from writing for actual string players. It has been a great learning experience for me.
