About a year ago, the 'Vampire: The Masquerade' (VtM) podcast 'Lore By Night' was released onto the airwaves and has since gained popularity with the VtM community, often dubbed the Vamily, often being cited as one of the most helpful and engaging podcasts of its nature.
'Lore By Night' is a series of podcasts that explores and the metaplot, events, characters found within the table-top game, 'Vampire: The Masquerade'. and subsequent video games.
Created and published by White Wolf Publishing, 'Vampire: The Masquerade' is part of their World of Darkness series, where players embrace the roles of vampires, werewolves, daemons and even mummies and faeries, that attempt to survive in the modern nights. 'Vampire: The Masquerade' has players become vampires, and I have been embraced by the Lore By Night team once more to write some new music for the highly popular podcast, as it steers off into new and exciting directions.
This is the first time I have returned to a project to add more music, and it feels honoured to return to a fun and exciting 'world', without having to leap through rings just to be considered. It is a strange feeling, that's for certain.
The Lore By Night Extended EP Soundtrack will sound very familiar to those who bought and loved the original soundtrack but should be excited and moved by new sounds and flavours that invoke personal horror like no other VtM soundtrack has captured before.
I really hope you enjoy this album as much as I have written it, for there is bound to be something for everyone in this soundtrack. If you like it, please share with your friends and family. If not, share it anyway, for they may like even if you didn't.
I would like to give thanks to my family, who have never stopped supporting me in each of their own unique ways. I would also like to pay thanks to the Vamily who have enjoyed the original soundtrack for the last year, adding it in their Spotify playlists, to use in your own games of Vampire: The Masquerade. Seeing that people do think it is worthy of the World of Darkness brand and sound is a joy that will never leave me.
