Whilst being a serious podcast, the "Lore By Night" team have never taken themselves so seriously that they manage to make fun of themselves and be a little silly at times, which has made working with them rather enjoyable.

I wasn't told how to compose the piece that was going for the special episode that would celebrate 6969 YouTube subscribers, but we all knew it had to be "sensual". That said, some level of cheese was needed.

I dug through old 70s & 80s love ballads and Barry White tunes for inspiration, and tried to make sure there was something new/different happening, so the established E minor groove didn't become too stale. The harmonised sax parts, panned in different spaces in the stereo field helped with this a lot, as did the electric piano and piano parts, often playing as cool and response. The wah-wah electric piano "stabs" that would play Em13 chords were directly inspired by what I think old cheesy porn tunes would do.

I am very proud of the end result, both in terms of arrangement and mix. I do with all my pieces, but this one especially.
